Six Pack

A Millennial Sitcom Worth Watching

Project Overview

Six friends stick together through the volatile time that is their mid-20s. This series is a project that I personally see as a discussion of life in the DMV as well. With an ensemble cast of six, the entire series covers six unique storylines concurrently while building a unifying throughline that will resonate with all viewers regardless of age.

Personal Statement

I loved this project for so many reasons. First, it was a project that expanded my network greatly. I made friends on this shoot and became closer friends with filmmakers who would help me in many projects to come.

How I Grew as a Part of This Project

This was the second series I was a part of from beginning to end, but the first full series I was a part of as below-the-line crew. When I wasn’t necessarily working hands-on with a scene, I was a bit lost at first. Eventually, I learned to work in stride with others for the long haul and make myself useful when I wasn’t actually needed on set. It was a great learning experience and a project I will certainly never forget.

Enter the Zeitgeist

The process is simple.

You scream from the rooftops. I scream from the rooftops. You think it’s an echo, but then it keeps going. You realize it’s me responding to your initial rooftop scream. We find each other. We discuss the story you’re trying to tell at a much more reasonable volume. I research your audience and develop your story in a way that helps you connect with your target audience.

If you aren’t a fan of yelling across vast distances or it’s cold outside, we could try carrier pigeons or smoke signals, but emailing might be easier. Actually, yeah. Let’s just go with that.

Not sure you’re “story” material? That’s ridiculous. You’ve started a business or are helping it grow. There are more sane things to do with your time, trust me. Look at the other crazy people in history. Why do we remember them? Because they made a good story.
